Gabe Amey

Founder and Executive Director of RiseHI Foundation

Gabe Amey is the founder and executive director of RiseHI Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring Hawaiʻi's keiki by sharing the powerful stories of local creators, entrepreneurs, and community change-makers. RiseHI aims to bridge geographical and socioeconomic divides, allowing every child to realize their potential and thrive within their communities.

Gabe’s work with RiseHI and his other community-based organizations has made a profound impact on the community. In 2007, he founded Hawaii VA Loans, the state’s first lender specializing in VA loans, assisting veterans in achieving homeownership in Hawai’i. His commitment to community service continued with the launch of Our Kūpuna in 2020. This organization, formed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, aids low-income, home-bound elderly across five Hawaiian islands, providing essential deliveries and valuable social interaction to alleviate loneliness. Since its inception, the organization has supported over 600 kūpuna on five islands. Gabe’s roots in Pu'unui, Oahu, and Kihei, Maui, and his education from St. Louis School and Menlo College, have shaped his passion for community service.
